From August 2007 through March 2008, the County of San Diego gathered community input for Prevention and Early
Intervention (PEI). The planning efforts formally began with the PEI Kick Off Event held on September 27.
Once a PEI Plan is developed and approved by the County Mental Health Board and Board of Supervisors, the PEI Plan
will be submitted to the State. New projects are expected to begin in Fiscal Year 2008-09, as soon as services are
competitively procured.
Thank you to those individuals and organizations who submitted community input. There will be additional opportunities to provide input as a plan is developed. We encourage you to attend the Mental Health Board and Council meetings. To provide your input and ideas for preventing mental illness and early intervention, please contact:
